Coming back from the holiday I was feeling so exhausted... This is the third day and still feel tired. Anyway, that's not the point. I had an incredibly holiday and a meaningful one. With the person that I love by my side makes my holiday worthwhile. I had a trip to Jong Crocodile Farm on the Wednesday (02.02.2011). A day before Chinese New Year. For your information, reptiles always gives me goosebumps. I'm really phobia with reptiles. But this time, I just need to agree with him since there's no other place that we can visit here. Since I've never been there (even when I was in Kuching for 7 years) so I decided to go and just leave behind my fear towards these cold creatures...
We departed from home at about 12noon. We arrived there and the first thing on my mind was how does thing creature looks like in reality. I've never seen the crocodile for real. First thing I saw was the miniature of crocodile outside the farm... I thought that the only animal that we will encounter is the crocodile... Well let's see inside this famous Jong's Crocodile Farm....
The entrance fee is RM10 for adult. There were 5 adults and one small kid. Overall RM58... Expensive though... At first I thought it was such a waste to spend RM58 just to have a look at the creepy creature... As I enter, I could see a small cafe and souvenir shop. We have to wear a wrist band. As we go further in, I saw that scary, creepy creature... The MR. CROCODILE. I felt nausea for a while looking at the creature. Maybe it's normal for those who are having 'HERPETOPHOBIA' - phobia of reptiles.... Then the most scariest part was when I look at the sign showing 'Phython'. My fear increased and I felt like I wanted to faint. The he assured me that it will be nothing. He brought me there just to face with my fear. We past the crocodile then, we saw lots of animal. I feel like I'm in a safari or to be exact Zoo...
All the way to that huge farm, there's actually lots of animal... There's beaver, eagle, bear, peacock, rabbits, ducks, fish, reindeer, monkeys and lots more. It's as if you are really in a Zoo. Well considered that as mini Zoo... It took us about 2 hours touring inside the farm. By then everyone was already hungry n exhausted. We took lots of pictures and then we headed home and had our so-called lunch which is actually at 3pm. Will upload the picture later since I couldn't do it now. Not sure what's wrong. It was fun though and toward the end of the journey, my fear has faded away and as for now, I think I'm a bit ok with reptiles but I think snakes are still not part of my favourite 'pet'.
